I have configured my devices to talk SNMP V3 with Orion NPM and I am able to add devices and poll OK. The problem is that I am unable to receive V3 SNMP Traps.
I am told that the SolarWinds trap receiver uses the in-built Microsoft trap service which does not support SNMP V3 traps.
Going forward, more and more devices will be utilising SNMP V3, thus this could leave SolarWinds redundant if a solution is not forthcoming.
Is there a solution pending or does anyone know of a workaround for this problem?
