Device Types in Orion NPM - additional devices types for new Cisco equipment

We have a couple of Cisco ASR 1002-X routers. They are correctly responding to SNMP and they are correctly coming up as ASR 1002-X routers in the MIB. However, there is no device type for these routers as there are for other models of Cisco equipment. The routers just do into a bucket device type "Cisco".

How are device types added to Orion? Reading through some other posts it does not appear there is any way to add device types from the user perspective or to customize device types. I'm assuming they come from Solar Winds as part of the particular version of NPM. Can new device types be downloaded? Is Solar Winds defining these and adding to the types? How does Orion determine the category in which to place a device? I would assume this is based on one or more SNMP MIB variables which are then matched to the existing defined device types in Orion.

So, when are more device types available? How are they updated and so on??
