From time to time, due to some misconfiguration or some other incident, we notice alert flood from Solarwinds. While it is no mistake of Alerting Engine, is it possible to define thresholds to stop sending out alert flood? Clearly sending out 1000+ alerts per minute is abnormal and not going to be useful. All alerting module should self-correct and stop sending out alert. Instead notify us that something is wrong or even better summarize the alerts for whoever is going to follow them up.
