We are currently in the process of expanding the use of SolarWinds Orion beyond just the data centre, and making it an offering for other groups (i.e., DBAs, the email team, etc.). These new groups do not want to have to log in to SolarWInds to acknowledge their alerts. The just want an email. Only.
I've tried ensuring that the NetPerfMon action is not in the rules, but the default entry still goes in. Please note that we've tried Alert Central, and it doesn't suit our needs. Also, we have other rules for which we do want a NetPerfMon entry, so a global disabling is probably the wrong approach. However, we do add a NetPerfMon action in all our other rules, so turning off just the default is what we're looking for.
FYI (you know this already, I'm sure - I just wanted you to know that I know it now too), I have noticed that for rules that have NetPerfMon actions, only a single entry goes into the event log. I'm sure this, of course, is intended behaviour ("Hey, he's already created out a NetPerfMon entry, so I guess I don't have to.").
Any help would be appreciated.
