This is an ongoing issue: I've opened tickets on this before and it has not been resolved.
Using SW NPM 10.1.3 Core 2011.1.1
I have network App , Network and Media Servers running Solaris 10 and Broadsoft.
Almost all of them 40 in all have "UKNOWN" interface status and no Data. This was not the case when I initially installed the nodes.
I'm working with our lab to try and resolve and so far the only thing that fixes this issue is to DELETE the node and READD it. The last time this occurred, I went from sending SNMP v2 to having to change it to SNMP v1 because an error came back that the V2 was not on the box. How can I validate that it's the SUN and not Solarwinds?
THis is quickly becoming inaccurate, time consuming and not the way things should work. The last time I opened a ticket, we reset the entire SQL database IFindex.
When interfaces rename, or a box goes from v240 to v890 for instance, the problem appears. Is there something SIMPLE that is not being done, either in Solarwinds or in the Sun Solaris 10 that needs to be done?
Remember that I'm not SUN/Unix/Linux or SQL proficient
Help!!!!
