So, I was working with our Capcity Manager and she builds reports normally in the report writer application but I wanted to have her switch to the web version to better secure the server.
Well we ran through the building of several reports and then started building a more complicated SQL report. While working through it I could choose SQL but she could not and the only difference is that she has report manager rights and not full administrator rights. I tested this and found that if I added administrator rights the ability showed up but no other setting had any effect on this option.
Is this a feature of some sort or is this a bug? Could it be that I'm missing something?
I don't know about anyone else but if I'm willing to let someone one my server to write a report then giving them SQL ability in the web reports is a given. I just don't want to give them full administrator priveledges.
