NOC View Hack

My boss saw the NOC view and now wants very specific ones created - which I'm happy to do because they are exactly what my team needs.  That said, there is a problem (isn't there always?), the NOC View is created from adding additional side tabs, and each side tab must have the same page type - which means that I can't even come close to putting together the dashboards I need to.  I have found that I can get around this limitation by making a couple of edits to the view directly in the database, allowing me to change the page type and, if necessary, the page restrictions (I hate doing it, but I can find no other way).  After making the edits, in NOC View mode, everything works perfectly, however, when I exit NOC View mode and just navigate via the side tabs, I get errors for each page.  It turns out that regular mode and NOC view mode use different methods of finding the page and in regular mode, the edits break the links to the other pages.  While my boss will be happy I have it working in NOC View mode, I'll never hear the end of it not working in regular mode.  So far, I've not been able to find anything in the database that defines a link for the various side tabs, which leads me here.  Does anyone know where the side tab links are stored or if they are programatically generated?  If I can put on the last bit of hack to make it work, life would be sweet.

Incidentally, the first thing I did when I saw that NOC View would only allow one page type per view was to open a feature request with SW already to address this.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
