I just have to relate a continuing issue I have with NPM upgrades as they relate to the Fail Over Engine. We've had the same issue now for the last 3 upgrades, so this is not relative to just NPM 11.0. Basically the issue is the install works on the Primary server of the FOE pair and fails on the secondary FOE server. Support winds up have to turn on the configwizard repair function to get it to install on the Seconday. It also fails like this in reverse, i.e. the package is installed on the secondary server in the FOE pair first. The first install works the second one fails. In every case I have asked the support person to feed this back to the product manager and yet the problem persists. Oh and when the second install fails, I can't fail back to the primary server to get the service back up. Yesterday, my user population was down for 3 hours after this install barfed and spent 30 min on rot in the Solarwinds phone support que. A clean install on our system usually winds up taking 90 min. And one added little snippet, the install wizard, when we got it working, installs every thing correctly and pops up the page saying it was successful, then 30 seconds later pops up a box saying there was a problem with the installer. There wasn't. So it's showing an false error message.
