Real Time Monitoring Lost When a Cisco Router is Physically Replaced

Hi Guys,

I observed something.

On two occassions, I physically changed two Cisco routers (Cisco 2951) that had an issue with high memory.

Please note that real-time and historical information were gotten from this devices before the replacement.

Before the replacement, I could get details on Availability, packet losses, CPU/memory, and traffic information (current and/or historical).

To my greatest surprise, as soon as the replacement was completed, monitoring of the devices were lost; all that is seen is response time and packet loss to be at 0%, overall hardware status becomes undefined, and one or more of the interfaces on the devices have states that are "Unknown"

Kindly assist me with detailed explanations.

Regards,
