I've been playing around with a new view for some of our customers that provides a custom graph of our Internet connection. I've created the graph using a Custom Object Resource on the summary page and configured it like this:
Object Type: Interfaces
Select Object: External interface on our firewall
Select Object Resource: average bits per second
For my account and other accounts that have access to the entire firewall node, we see the graph without any issues. For a test account that mimics the configuration of our customer accounts they see the title of the graph but not the graph itself. The account is configured with limitations to only specific devices (group of nodes), excluding the firewall node, and the firewall's external interface (single interface). If I add the firewall to the list of nodes in the account limitations the graph displays properly but I don't want to give them that much access.
Could the reason I can't see the graph when this account is limited to the interface be permissions related? Is there a better way to accomplish what I'm looking to do?
