I have activated a trap alert for when a router or switch fails authentication. Check the trap information.
snmpTrapEnterprise = BAY-STACK-NOTIFICATIONS-MIB:bsnNotifications
experimental.1057.1.0 = 10.2.64.9
sysUpTime = 77 days 6 hours 6 minutes 8.55 seconds
snmpTrapOID = BAY-STACK-NOTIFICATIONS-MIB:bsnLoginFailure
bsnLoginFailureUsername = asdd
bsnLoginFailureAddress = 67.103.69.73 ----> incorrect IP
bsnLoginFailureAddressType = 1
bsnLoginFailureType = web(3)
As you will see in the text bsnLoginFailureAddress = 67.103.69.7 3; should have my IP (10.1.8.203) which is where I'm doing the tests. The problem is with Orion NMP, I tested with wireshark and give the correct IP.
This was working well until December last year. We thought it was a problem with our switches but recently did the analysis and understand that the problem is with the NMP.
