SLA reporting in a redundant remote network

All,

Either I'm over thinking this, or I'm getting old, or both.  I've rolled out a redundant network topology for my remote sites (yeah!  I can sleep at night now.)  However, this has created a bit of a problem when trying to provide availability stats to my managers.  Like most, I'm required to provide:

  • WAN utilization - easy enough from the WAN router MPLS interface
  • Internet utilization - easy enough from the Internet router outside interface
  • WAN Availability - I thought this was easy by using IP SLA, but how do I get a percentage?
  • Internet Availability - I thought this was just as easy by using IP SLA, but again, how do I get a percentage?
  • Overall Site Availability - Wow, this IP SLA percentage thing is killing me...

What would be truly awesome is a (1) report per site that provides all the above data.  I'd even be happy with a view and list of resources, then I could pull the data and put it in a spreadsheet.  Does anyone have any ideas how to accomplish this?  Should I use something other than IP SLA to collect the availability data?

Tools at my disposal - NPM, NCM, NTA, VNQM, IPAM, SAM
