Nexus 5000 and bogus utilization numbers for FEX and access interfaces

Hello,

I have a quick question for folks running the Nexus platform in their shop. We utilize Nexus 5K w/2K FEXs as our top-of-rack solution. Since performing a recent NX-OS upgrade, v5.1(3)N2(1c), we're seeing periodic utilization values of 8 - 10,000%. No, that's not a typo...we see utilization value that are thousands of percent higher for a given FEX and some access interfaces. NPM will flag the utilization in the Tbps range.

At first I simply ensured that 64-bit counters were enabled for the various devices and interfaces, as I wanted to ensure we weren't seeing a 32-bit counter roll-over situation. I've also removed the entire 5K from NPM and re-added it, all with seemingly no change. We do have a mixture of 1 Gb and 10 Gb interfaces, but we've not seen this issue before. I suspect somethings goofy with the software upgrade, but I thought I'd ask the community and see if anyone else has seen this odd behavior.

Thanks, guys!

-Jason
