Jumped on it hoping it'd fix some of the issues we've been having since 11.0. At least one issue (below) - not fixed. Updated to NPM 11.5.2 and SAM 6.2.1. Prior to updates: Orion Platform 2015.1.1, SAM 6.2.0, NPM 11.5.1.
Some notes:
- The "SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor 11.5.2 Release Notes" PDF included with the installer has a prominent "DRAFT - RC - NOT FINAL" watermark across the page. Does this signify a rather appalling lack of QC - 3 days after it was released - or is this really an RC?
- The NPM 11.5.2 "full" installer in my customer portal was downloaded as a .exe (executable file) while really being a zipped file. Result: Windows complained it couldn't be executed because it was a version of Windows that was no longer supported. Once I renamed it to a zip file, all was good. Question: really, Solarwinds? The installer has been sitting there for three days since June 2 and nobody caught this?
- alerts for (interface status change) events that happened long ago - not fixed.
- Most "Multiple Object Charts" lost their titles and subtitles. Not a big deal yet still: this is just a service release. Not a major version upgrade. Why did it lose it?
- Some lost their customizations and ability to edit them. Have to re-create from scratch.
Anyone else updated? Any impressions?
