WMI polling with NPM 10.4.2 and SAM 5.5

I just installed NPM version 10.4.2 and SAM version 5.5 together. I know that SAM 5.5 added the ability to poll interfaces via WMI. However, when I manually added a Windows 2008 server to my Core database, I noticed a difference in the list of interface resources displayed depending on whether SNMP is used, or if WMI is used.

When SNMP is used, the interface list looks like this:

But, when WMI is used to poll the same server, the interface list looks like this:

What explains the difference?

Is NPM now able to poll interfaces using WMI since SAM v5.5 is loaded, or is interface polling via WMI limited to SAM components monitors?
