Trying to Get Linux to report without root privilege account

Hi All,

I am running into an issue where I am trying to get hd stats from an ubuntu server but apparently the command used, hdparm, requires root level privilege.  I do not want to give that level of access to a monitoring user, any ideas on how to get this to work?
