Need dynamic interface chart on the Node Details view - which resource?
I want to place a chart on the node details view that shows historical traffic information for specific interfaces on that node. Some questions: What resource would I use? How would I auto-select the appropriate interfaces on the node being viewed? Would I use a Yes/Mo custom property to flag the interfaces on each node that should appear on the chart?

Custom input box resource
I am looking to see if anyone has any ideas on how to accomplish this, if it is possible.
Looking for the ability to have a resource that can be added to a Summary view which will allow a user to directly input data (tied to a custom property) for nodes listed.

The idea is that instead of having to click on the node and entering in the 'Edit custom node property' for that node the resource would already contain the node(s) and display (and allow edits) to the custom property.
I know that this is pushing the boundries between a summary and a detail view but was curious if some back end HTML code would accomplish this. The code would contain the nodes that need to be listed.
Thoughts? Ideas? Too far fetched??

Can you use SWQL functions within SWQL queries in Alerts?
Background: We want to set up Orion so that certain teams get alerts on their own nodes. We want to leverage custom properties to do this, so that one alert for "Node Down" can cover all teams (such as how people have done here: https://thwack.solarwinds.com/docs/DOC-177456).
I was wondering if it is possible to utilize SWQL functions within the query. For example, I have a customer property called "TonyTest". It contains the following info: "FirstName LastName (email@domain.com)". In SWQL Studio I've written and successfully executed this query:
SELECT SubString(TonyTest,(CharIndex('(',TonyTest))+1,((CharIndex(')',TonyTest))-((CharIndex('(',TonyTest))+1))) AS TonyTest
FROM Orion.NodesCustomProperties
WHERE NodeID = '1491'
This succeeds in just pulling the email address, by only grabbing the string of text in between the opening and closing parenthesis. The idea being we can have the custom property contain both a descriptor for the group as well as their email address, but just pull the email address out.
However, when trying to create the query for the alert's email To: field I am not having any luck. I am trying the following in the To: field:
${N=SWQL;M=SELECT SubString(TonyTest,(CharIndex('(',TonyTest))+1,((CharIndex(')',TonyTest))-((CharIndex('(',TonyTest))+1))) AS TonyTest FROM Orion.NodesCustomProperties WHERE NodeID = '${N=SwisEntity;M=NodeID}'}
When I click "NEXT" I get an error of "Please specify a valid email address." and it won't let me proceed.
Can you use SWQL functions within the query type like the ones that start with "${N=SWQL"?

Citrix Netscaler Monitoring and Custom Pollers
I see these posts around but really nothing that makes sense to me. How do we monitor citrix netscalers like we do with F5? I have downloaded pollers and templates and nothing seems to work.
Within the node dashboard I don't see any widgets for VIPs or anything?
How are people achieving this?

Enumeration Map Issue
I am trying to enumerate values taken from the following table poller.
I created a map
And applied it to my devices.
It's the one in yellow
But here all I see are the raw value's instead of my mapped values.
Same here.
Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Change SolarWinds Information Services SSL Certificate
Is there a simple way to have SolarWinds use a different certificate (preferably one from my CA) for its Information Service v2 and v3? I've found files associated with them, but not sure what could go wrong by changing them.
The 2 files which mention the default self signed certificate are:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\Information Service\2.0\SolarWinds.InformationService.Service.exe.config
C:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\Information Service\3.0\SolarWinds.InformationService.Service.exe.config
To be clear, this is not for the IIS certificate, as that has already been updated to the new one.

Hope you are doing well and good :-)
I am caught in a serious issue here. Let me explain the issue.
We are trying to perfom SNMP walk from the utility available in the location volume:\Program Files (x86)\SolarWinds\Orion\snmpwalk.exe from some of the pollers to the devices managed by them(SNMP v3 mainly). But however we are unable to perform the walk and are getting this error
"Crypto Error Unable to perform the requested algorithm. If FIPS restrictions are enabled, please select a FIPS compliant algorithm".
This happens only from few pollers and few do not show up this error and perform the walk successfully. We checked the FIPS restrictions from the server end and found the FIPS is disabled. What could be the reason for this error being shown by few pollers and few do not? We checked the FIPS and other securitysettings, however its the same. Can someone please explain how can we overcome this? Apart from walk, the error comes into play even when we are clicking on the real time process explorer from the console.
Need SNMP walk to poll for the MIBS on the new bluecoat devices and create a custom poller to poll for them. Its urgent and I am stuck :-(
Has anyone faced this issues earlier? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Getting an error while clicking on Edit Node.

I am getting an error when clicking on edit node " " Unexpected Website Error
The formatter threw an exception while trying to deserialize the message: There was an error while trying to deserialize parameter http://schemas.solarwinds.com/2008/Core:GetNodeWithOptionsResult. The InnerException message was 'Member '_compareInfo' was not found.'. Please see InnerException for more details"
I have traced the https packets and it is getting aborted. Can you please let me know what can be the reason for the same?

Configuration Wizard - run time, upgrades
How long does one usually expect the Configuration Wizard to run after upgrading/installing modules?
I am updating our suite (NPM, NTA and NCM) to newest releases from the start of each software train. I just upgraded NPM from 12.0.0 to 12.0.1. The server-side installation took ~15 minutes. Seems reasonable to me. The configuration wizard took almost 45 minutes to run. And that was only the first module. NTA relaunched the config wizard and is running now, and I will have to run it again after updating NCM...
Am I obtuse and have missed somewhere in documentation that mentions stream-lining this process? If you are running multiple modules, having the configuration wizard run after each install seems kind of silly, as opposed to a roll-up configuration wizard run for all installs. Can you do that? I've looked around and haven't seen it mentioned.

Database Value for Muted Nodes
Does anyone know what the database field is for muting nodes? (e.g. UnManaged, UnManageFrom, UnManageTo for unmanaging nodes) I would like to run a script for our NOC that would mute all nodes during extended outage weekends. I took a quick look on the Nodes table but didn't see any value that would indicate it is muted.

NPM 12.3 - Advanced alert isn´t executing external VBScript
Hi,
NPM 12.3 - I´m trying create an alert to trigger an external VbScript with no success.
When alert is triggered (in the simulate trigger alert) all works fine, but the vbscript isn´t executed.
Alert works in the previous NPM version.
