Hello,
We have a Jacarta InterSeptor Temperature and Humidity Monitor. I am trying to
set up an Alert within Alert Manager that looks at the Temperature Poller and
sends an alert when the temperaute reaches a specified value.
I can't seem to get the alert to trigger no matter how low I set the trigger
temparature value.
My alert Trigger condition is set up as follows;
Trigger Alert when ALL of the following apply
Poller Name is equal to inSeptsensorMonitorDeviceTemperature
VALUE is greater than or equal to 200
Do not trigger this action until condition exists for maore than 10 seconds
The current Value is 206 so i would expect the alert to trigger and send an
email. Note we have tested the alert and email is working.
Note the UDP records value of temperature without the decimal point. We have
created a transform for the purposes of displaying in the Orion Sumary page. Eg
a value of 212 = 21.2.
Any help or advice would be greatly apreciated.

Hi - I am very new to SolarWinds and trying to build a report to query all nodes on our SlolarWinds platform and group them by "Group Name" these nodes are members of on SolarWinds group. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Cisco 3650 stack not showing any Data under Switch stack tab
Hi
I have an issue with monitoring my 3650 Switch stacks.
I have noticed that the CPU usage on the stack node has no bearing in reality
And the switch stack tab is full of " Data not available" widgets, only the avg. CPU and Memory has data.
The node view type is default
The MIB is CISCO-ENVMON-MIB
And I am running NPM 12.2
Am I doing something wrong do i need to configure anything for the stack monitoring to work?
According to this link "Success Center " I shouldn't have to.
Can some one help me ?

Network Atlas Link on Selt configures line with one assignment
Hi
We are using a lot of MPLS networks in our WAN.
And while I was making a map over a portion of our WAN i thought, I'll just draw a line and make it dependent on the MPLS interface in the Branch office switch!!!
But when I viewed the map in Orion the line was black, without any status, and some of the lines had even lost the connection to the interface so link and mouse over didn't work
I was pretty disappointed by that and thought o'hh well mayby I will add assignment of one of our HQ MPLS interfaces, that represent the lines ok.
But when I viewed it in Orion again the line had status, but it was down due to no connection between the interfaces.
Are we down to that it is impossible to display a line in a map that does not have CDP discovery ???
I have found other complaints about this and they are from 5 years back, this looks to me as a bug but would they not have fixed it in 5 years??
Am I missing a step here, if I am please let me know

Need some help urgently.
Did a licence migration from a 2k12 environment to a 2k16. It went fine, the migration worked and it pointed to the old database without probelems, tried to open the website and got this.

Migrating SolarWinds from Windows Server 2008 to 2012
Current install is:

CloudMonitoring 1.0.0

NTA 4.2.2
on Windows Server 2008 R2 with SQL 2012 on separate server. We plan to replace the physical 2008 server with a new physical 2012 server. What is best practice to migrate and keep database in place? In a lab environment I'm thinking build new server with 2012 and install same versions of SolarWinds components and migrate according to this document and then upgrade components to latest version that will work with server 2012 and SQL2012. Can I skip a step and install latest versions that will work according to the list here
without going through the upgrade process?

ICMP Polling and Node Status
I have a lot of devices that I need to track their UP/Down status.
The problem is these devices are not that reliable when responding to a ping so I get a lot of flapping up/downs
Is there any way that I can configure settings so that certain nodes can miss 1 or 2 pings and not show as down?

ASA 5510 VPN Monitoring Issues
I have added Cisco ASA 5510 to NPM but facing VPN monitoring issue. Although, Site to Site VPNs are up but NPM is showing them down.
NPM version: 12.2
Cisco IOS: 8.6(1)2
snmp version 3 is being used with ssh parameters also added.

Network Discovery Error - parsing of discovery result failed
We have an additional polling engine installed on the cloud, the first time we ran the discovery it ran just fine. After a few days i ran the same discovery it is giving me and error that parsing of discovery result failed. I check the oriondiscoveryjob.log file i didnt find and any error in the file.
Any help will be appreciated.

LINUX AGENT VENDOR ICON IN REPORT WRTIER BASED REPORTS
I searched but didn't find anything on missing Linux Agent Vendor icons for reports created in legacy Report Writer.
Any tips?

COMPONENT BASED ALERTS SEND MULTIPLE COMPONENT OBJECTS
Is it by design that a report based on a Down component will generate multiple separate emails per down component?
For example, you have several Oracle table space component monitors.
Three of the 5 TS component monitors goes critical and you get 3 emails for each Critical component.
Whereas with an Application based alert you can set the Components with Problems macro. But you cannot use some of the the Component macros, so there are trade-offs.
I guess it makes sense to get a separate email for each component, but I'm wondering if anyone else has a way to deal with this situation.
