Just curious on the opinion out there on using the qualifier 'is equal to' vs 'is not equal to' when building a trigger condition.
In our environment we use custom properties to flag a node and/or application as muted. (N_mute and A_mute) Depending on the analyst who builds the alert they are sometimes built with the logic:
a_mute 'is not equal to' Yes
n_mute 'is not equal to' Yes
In my mind I'd prefer to check for the positive (a_mute 'is equal to' yes) rather than the negative.
Am I just being weird?
