I have submitted a feature request idea for this and if this condition impacts you I hope you will let your votes be heard on the thread Enhanced Alert Time of Day Scheduling
Here is my reason for the feature request.
So one of our teams came to us asking us to exclude alerts during scheduled reboot times they have every weekend. I said sure that's easy enough to do what's the schedule
So the exclusions are as follows
Friday 11PM - Saturday 4 AM
Saturday 11 PM - Sunday 4 AM
Sunday 11 PM - Monday 4 AM
Who knew that the Time of Day section of the alert would make it this difficult. I have to have 4 different alerts to handle this.
Alert 1 Valid Time of Day 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Days of the week Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Alert 2 Valid time of day 12:00 AM - 10:59 PM Days of the week Friday
Alert 3 Valid time of day 4:00 AM - 11:00 PM Days of the week Saturday & Sunday
Alert 4 Valid time of day 4:00 AM - 11:59 PM Days of the week Monday
The feature request suggest enhancing this to add a graphical calendar schedule that you see on several different applications and websites. I mocked something up in excel as an example
